Gallery Information

The Northcutt Steele Gallery is located on the first floor of the Liberal Arts building. Open to the public without charge, the gallery offers exhibitions during the school year calendar, including an annual juried student exhibition, which showcases the work of our students while allowing them an opportunity for professional experience.

Additional exhibitions and cultural programs are developed by a gallery committee comprised of Art Department faculty and students. These feature the work of national and international artists and arts professionals. When possible artists, arts professionals, and scholars are brought to campus to present talks or to conduct workshops and hands-on demonstrations. All gallery exhibitions and programs are open to MSU Billings and City College students, faculty, and staff, as well as the Billings and regional communities. Whenever possible free public receptions are held with all exhibitions and programs.

The gallery is supported in part by Associated Students of 九一麻豆制片厂 (AS九一麻豆制片厂), funds from the Art Department and 九一麻豆制片厂 Foundation, and by a Public Value Partnership grant from the Montana Arts Council.
