The IAU in Barcelona offers diverse academic programs for study abroad students, inclusding the General Studies Program,, Spanish Honors Program, and Ballet in Barcelona Program. Students can immerse themselves in diverse diciplines such as Architecture, Business, History, Spanish, etc. The centrally located campus near Placa de Catalunya features modern amenities and dedicated support stuff. Students enhance their experience through field studies, cultural excursions, and optional multi-day trips to destinations like Morocco and Italy. The specialized Spanish Honors Program focuses on language immersion, while the Ballet in Barcelona Program provides training with professionals and stage experience, encouraging cultural engagement, language exchanges, and homestays for a comprehensive global experience.

Homestays
Students live with local Spanish families for language immersion and cultural exchange. Daily breakfast and dinner are provided, while lunch is self-catered. Bedrooms may be shared, but each student has their own bed. Shared bathrooms and weekly laundry access are included, with all linens provided. Flexibility with family schedules is essential.
Shared Apartments
Students live with up to 10 IAU students in furnished apartments located throughout Barcelona. The apartments feature shared living spaces, kitchens, and laundry facilities, but dryers may not be available. Air conditioning/heating varies. Meals are not included; students manage their own cooking. Bedrooms are typically double or triple occupancy, with shared bathrooms for 3-4 students. Linens are provided.
Condo-Style Student Residence
Furnished mini studios are available in condo-style residences for IAU and international students. Rooms come with mini kitchenettes and private storage, with shared or private bathrooms for up to 3-4 students. Common areas include kitchens, laundry, and recreational spaces. Meals are self-catered, and most residences have AC and security. All linens are included.

Students from the U.S. planning to study in Spain for more than 90 days must obtain a student visa. For stays under 90 days, a visa is usually not required. Applications for student visas need to be submitted at least two months before the start of studies. Your passport must be valid for at least one year, and you鈥檒l need to provide proof of paid registration and valid health insurance. Health Insurance
ACM-IAU offers health insurance through CHUBB, which is included in the program fee.
